eBay AutoBot: simple step-by-step setup.

Install & activate

Goal: get the app open and activate the licence that was automatically emailed after purchase.

1. Open the purchase email from Resell AutoBot.
2. Use the download link in that email and install Resell AutoBot on Windows.
3. Open Resell AutoBot.
4. When the licence window appears, paste the licence key exactly as shown in the email.
5. Activate the licence. The purchased access period starts when the key is first activated on this PC.
6. At Marketplace Home choose eBay.

Connect Discord webhook

Goal: make eBay deal and AI results arrive in a private Discord channel.

A. Create the webhook in Discord

1. Open Discord on desktop or in the browser and select the server where you want the alerts.
2. Create a text channel such as #ebay-deals, or use an existing private channel.
3. Open Server Settings.
4. Open Integrations → Webhooks.
5. Select Create Webhook.
6. Choose the channel that should receive the alerts.
7. Select Copy Webhook URL.

B. Connect it inside Resell AutoBot

1. In Resell AutoBot choose eBay.
2. Open Connections.
3. Under Discord notifications select Configure Discord.
4. Paste the webhook URL into Discord webhook URL.
5. Tick Enable Discord alerts for new matching eBay listings.
6. Leave the blocking in-app pop-up option off unless you specifically want a pop-up window for every deal.
7. Select CONNECTION TEST. Confirm the test message arrives in Discord.
8. Select SEND SAMPLE DEAL. Confirm the sample looks correct.
9. Select SAVE SETTINGS.

Turn on eBay Local AI

Goal: turn on the separate eBay local AI worker.

If you have not installed Ollama yet, install Ollama for Windows and download the required model:

1. Open the eBay workspace.
2. Open Connections.
3. Under Local AI screening select Configure local AI.
4. Tick Enable eBay local AI analysis.
5. Tick Analyse listing photos.
6. Tick Use adaptive hardware mode for the recommended simple setup.
7. Leave the Ollama model as mistral-small3.2:24b-instruct-2506-q4_K_M.
8. Leave Maximum AI time at the current supported setting unless you know why you are changing it.
9. Select Test eBay AI.
10. When the test succeeds, select Save eBay AI.

Turn on AI alerts / choose Discord mode

Goal: choose how Discord and AI work together.

Recommended for fastest alerts

1. Keep Only send AI analysis: OFF on the eBay Overview page.
2. A matching explicit saved-search listing can be sent to Discord immediately.
3. AI runs in the background.
4. When AI/market analysis completes, the result can arrive as a follow-up.

If you only want the completed AI message

1. Make sure Local AI is enabled first.
2. On Overview select Only send AI analysis: OFF.
3. Confirm the warning to turn it ON.
4. AutoBot still shows the new match inside the app immediately, but Discord waits for AI.

Create an eBay saved search

Goal: tell AutoBot what normal eBay results you want to monitor.

1. Open eBay → Searches.
2. Select Add eBay search.
3. Enter the same Search terms you would type into eBay.
4. The Category box is an optional label only; it does not restrict eBay results.
5. Add optional Required title phrases if every accepted result must contain certain wording.
6. Add optional Excluded title phrases for wrong products/scopes you never want.
7. Set minimum price, maximum price and maximum postage.
8. Tick Buy It Now, Auction or both.
9. Choose Any eBay condition or tick specific conditions.
10. Keep United Kingdom listings only on if you only want UK results.
11. Keep Search enabled on and select Save eBay search.

Configure eBay Smart Discovery

1. Open eBay → Searches.
2. In Smart Discovery select Configure.
3. Tick Enable eBay Smart Discovery.
4. Enter one discovery search phrase per line.
5. Set Maximum purchase price and Maximum postage.
6. Set Minimum expected profit and Minimum ROI.
7. Choose how many AI candidates per cycle AutoBot may inspect.
8. Choose UK-only if required and save.

Start and control eBay monitoring

1. Open eBay → Overview.
2. Set the scan interval you want within the supported range.
3. Confirm at least one eBay search or Smart Discovery is enabled.
4. Select Start eBay monitoring.
5. Watch ACTIVE SEARCHES, DEALS TODAY, AI QUEUE, CURRENT AI and LISTINGS SCANNED.
6. Use Skip current AI if you want to abandon the current eBay AI job without stopping scanning.
7. Select Stop to end eBay monitoring.

Use the eBay Deals page

1. Open eBay → Deals.
2. Open the original eBay listing before you buy or bid.
3. Check listing type, total buy cost, condition, AI evidence, current-market estimate, expected profit/ROI and confidence.
4. Use manual AI analysis when you want a deeper result and the eBay worker is running.
5. Use Watch when you want to keep following the exact listing.

Track eBay auctions and safe-bid guidance

Goal: keep the live auction state and resale evidence together.

1. Add/monitor a saved search that includes Auction listings.
2. When an auction is worth following, open Auctions.
3. Review current bid, bid count, live time remaining, next refresh and latest resale/profit estimate.
4. AutoBot refreshes tracked auctions more frequently as the end time approaches.
5. Under Connections → Profit assumptions, set your estimated selling costs, packaging, outbound postage, auction target profit and auction target ROI.
6. Use any safe-bid guidance as the maximum sensible buying headroom under those assumptions.
7. Place the bid yourself on eBay if you decide to proceed.

Pipeline, Watchlist, AI Learning & Inventory

Pipeline — track the stage of each opportunity

1. Open eBay → EXTRA → Pipeline.
2. Use the search box or stage filter to find the item.
3. Set the stage that matches reality: Detected, AI analysed, Watching, Saved, Contacted, Bought, Cleaning / Repair, Ready to list, Listed or Sold.
4. Select REFRESH when you want the pipeline to resync with current deal and resale records.

Watchlist — keep following an exact eBay listing

1. From an eBay deal choose Watch.
2. Open eBay → EXTRA → Watchlist.
3. Review price, resale, profit, ROI, grade, liquidity, availability and the next refresh.
4. Use the filter to show eBay, improved, degraded or unavailable items.
5. Select OPEN LISTING to re-check eBay or UNWATCH when you are finished.

AI Learning — compare forecasts with completed outcomes

1. Record completed eBay resale outcomes first.
2. Open eBay → EXTRA → AI Learning.
3. Review completed outcomes, bias, average absolute error and the percentage within ±10%.
4. Use the level filter for Overall, Marketplace, Brand, Category or Model evidence.
5. Correction factors are advisory only; version 4.4.4 does not automatically apply them.

Inventory — review ageing stock and tied-up capital

1. Open eBay → EXTRA → Inventory.
2. Review stock that is ageing beyond its expected liquidity window.
3. Check market drift, trapped capital and the recommended intervention.
4. Decide whether to reprice, improve the listing, relist or take another action.

Record eBay Resales and True Profit

1. Open eBay → Resales after you buy an item.
2. Record the real purchase price and purchase details.
3. Add the actual costs you incur rather than hypothetical future costs.
4. When the item sells, use the sold action and enter the real selling price and sale details.
5. Open eBay → Profit to review realised net profit, ROI, holding time and forecast accuracy.
6. Use AI Learning for forecast-vs-outcome evidence and Inventory for ageing stock.

Connections, profit assumptions & Activity

Activity — see what the bot is doing

1. Open eBay → Activity.
2. Use the log to check scanner, AI, auction, market and error messages.
3. If you contact support, copy the exact error line and include it in the form.

Deal history

1. Open eBay → Connections.
2. Under Deal history choose Open deal history.
3. Reset eBay alert history only if you intentionally want already-seen IDs treated as new again.

Recovery protection

1. Use Export data backup before major PC/app changes.
2. Use Restore data backup only when you intentionally want to restore a saved AutoBot data set.
3. Use Open data folder when support asks you to inspect local data.

Profit assumptions

1. Set estimated selling costs percentage.
2. Set packaging and outbound postage assumptions.
3. Set auction target profit and auction target ROI.
4. Select Save profit assumptions.

System readiness

1. Review detected hardware and local AI readiness.
2. If AI is not ready, return to Step 3 and test Ollama/model readiness again.

Simple troubleshooting

• Setup is blocked or will not start: open Windows Security → App & browser control. If Smart App Control or reputation-based app checking is blocking the official Resell AutoBot installer, temporarily disable that app-control setting and retry Setup. Keep Microsoft Defender Antivirus / Virus & threat protection and Real-time protection ON. Re-enable App & browser protection after installation where available.
• No Discord message: Connections → Configure Discord → Connection Test. If the test fails, create/copy a fresh webhook URL.
• AI says not ready: start Ollama, confirm the required model was pulled, then Test eBay AI.
• No new deals: confirm the eBay search is enabled, monitoring is running and your filters are not too restrictive.
• Previously seen listing will not alert again: duplicate protection is deliberate. Reset alert history only if you intentionally want current matches treated as new.
• Need help: open Activity, copy the exact message, then use Support.
